Met One's 024A provides a 10 kohm potentiometer vane for measuring wind direction only. The vane has a damping ratio of 0.25; an optional fast response version (damping ratio 0.4) is available on special order. At one time, the 024A was often used in tandem with Met One's 014A Anemometer, which measures wind speed. The 014A/024A combination has been rendered somewhat obsolete by Met One's 034B.
