The SW12V allows a datalogger control port to control the status of an internal switch, thereby controlling whether 12 Vdc power is passed to an external peripheral.

The SW12V is used with the HMP45C Air Temperature and Relative Humidity Probes. These new HMP45C probes no longer have a similar switch in their pigtails. Power to the HMP45C can be supplied via the SW12V or via the switched 12 Vdc terminal on the datalogger wiring panel.
