CS477-L

The CS475, CS476, and CS477 series of radar-based water-level sensors brings a highly accurate innovation to Campbell Scientific's array of sensors. The CS477 is built with enhanced electronics, giving it a much longer measuring range. Mounted above the water surface to be measured, the sensors use radar—short microwave pulses—to detect the distance from the sensor to the top of the water. Changes in the level of the surface are measured and used to calculate depth, flow rate, or volume of the water. The sensors do not come into contact with the liquid, avoiding corrosion, contamination, and debris damage. That, and the fact that there are no moving parts, make the sensors very low maintenance.
