The leaf chamber accessories kit consists of an acetate grid, coloured filters and vacuum grease.

A small container of vacuum grease is supplied to assist in sealing the leaf chamber. To prevent gas leaks from the chamber, the neoprene gaskets should be coated with a very thin layer of the vacuum grease.

The translucent acetate grid is divided into squares each 0.25 cm2 in area. The grid is used to measure leaf area by a statistical method.

The red, green and blue coloured filters provide light enhanced in their regions of the spectrum, sufficient to demonstrate the action spectrum of photosynthesis. The absorbance characteristics of the filters are balanced so that at a given distance from the light source they allow approximately the same quantum flux to reach the leaf. Note that this is true only if Qubit's 50 Watt A111 Halogen Light Source is used.
